Q.

I get that he was a great guy. But why all the fuss about Charlie Kirk?

A.

John 7:9-12, TPT (The Passion Translation)

Jesus lingered in Galilee until his brothers had left for the feast in Jerusalem. Then later, Jesus took a back road and went into Jerusalem in secret. During the feast, the Jewish leaders kept looking for Jesus and asking around, “Where is he? Have you seen him?” A controversy was brewing among the people, with so many differing opinions about Jesus.

So many differing opinions. Even Jesus had faced a variety of opinions about who he was, what he was doing and why he was doing it. Opinions can change your life, elevate you to fame and fortune— or they can murder you in the public forum. And as the world winds down, many of our special and anointed ones will experience that same adoration and significance, as well as, a brutal execution of our brightest and best. All because they promoted and celebrated independent thought. Jesus was crucified for what He said. Stephen was stoned for the same crime in the Book of Acts, chapter six.

Romans 13:7 tells us to give honor to whom honor is due. It is my privilege to briefly honor a fallen hero of our faith:

Charlie Kirk was a “Stephen” in the kingdom. Martyred the same. A man of deep Christian faith, and unflinchingly loud about his views on Christ, Charlie trumpeted the Bible’s statutes against the murder of the unborn. He was active and politically involved against the harming of our children through liberal ideologies, the ongoing homosexual grooming and the disfigurement of the mind and body through gender surgeries and medications. Because of passions for his Savior, his country and his Christian family values, he was gunned down by a brainwashed young man who is a product of social media mentoring—radicalized by the failed, liberal operatives who held high positions within America’s own government and fringe dissenters. (I pray for the soul of this cultivated assassin.)

Charlie’s last name means “church” in the Old Norse language of his genetics. Old Norse is the language of Scottish Scandinavian, which is Viking—the ancient warriors. Charlie was shot in the throat. There is no doubt of the significance and the message of these things: the Christian Church has forever been attacked by Satan who has tried, unsuccessfully, to silence her voice. Charlie is the first martyr of the fierce and powerful generation of the Young Lions who are coming forth on the earth right now, as prophesied by the prophets of the Most High God. These are the new, mighty men and women of David, the young warriors, who represent the Lion of Judah. They are here and quickly responding to this evil.

I’ve heard Charlie referred to as America’s Youth Pastor, and he was. We older-folks and senior citizens may have said, “Who’s Charlie Kirk?” when the news broke. But if you ask a young person…someone under thirty…they all knew who he was. Even the Catholic Schools in ultra-liberal California had a moment of silence for their hero. My teenage nephews are devastated and weeping. My war-veteran, Marine Corps brother called me in tears. He said, “This was not an attack on a man. This was an attack on a generation.”

Charlie was considered a cross between Rush Limbaugh and Billy Graham—so many young people came to Christ through his ministry and his outdoor rallies. It’s sickening and beyond belief that he would be slain in front of these young people like that. And yet, how appropriate. Our students of today will need to handle the graphic visuals of their world in ways we never imagined.

The liberal world hated Rush Limbaugh and he was often the only one standing for family values in America’s political arena at the time. The world also hated Jesus, of course. And the result of Christ’s death became an exponential multiplication of followers that has blanketed the globe. These Young Lions for Jesus and for Judeo-Christian values—the ones Charlie Kirk brought to life by the hundreds of thousands—will make ideological PUDDING of their anti-Semitic opposition, currently spreading Jew-hate like a disease in American universities and colleges. They will orchestrate an education of Truth for their friends and neighbors, reversing the abortion lie, the socialist-Marxist agenda and the perpetuation of domestic terrorism marinating within the racist and hate-filled diatribes of their modern-day academia.

You, Charlie Kirk, have succeeded in fulfilling your destiny and setting the bar. In death, you have sparked a new season in the earth. THANK YOU for your life and ministry. For your courage and honor. We now embrace the challenge to carry your torch and your bravery into Babylon and beyond. Your death has loosed the Lions--the fierce and powerful young ones. We are all obligated to become what you represented. Well done, good and faithful servant (sob.)
